St James' Class Results - the benefit of chess club!

St James yr3 class competition now complete.

Well done to James Cooper on winning the trophy scoring 5 out of 5 all with checkmate.

James Travis came 2nd (silver medal) with 4 (all checkmates) out of 5 only losing to James.

Jess Caton came 3rd (bronze medal) also with 4 out of 5, 3 of which were checkmates again only beaten by James in the final round.

Each of these 3 go to after school chess club

Unfortunately Oliver Cheshire wasn't in so missed the opportunity to get into the top 3. His bye wasn't quite enough.

Slow starter went to Ethan Birchenall after losing his first two and then staying unbeaten in his final 3 games.

Next up school challenge St Thomas's v St James Thurs 13th June.
