Well done to Jessica Caton with 3.5 out of 6 easily beating her previous best score and winning best girl prize at Ashton today.
Mustapha Dia did well after a break from chess scoring 4 out of 6 and just missing out on the prizes. Tyler Timperley-Brogan scored a fabulous 3.5 on his competition debut. James Travis also did very well with 3 out of 6 in his first event. Oliver Cheshire had a tough set of games scoring 2.
Lawrence Moustafa in the senior event scored 2 out of 5 and nearly beat Ben Newton who has recently been selected for England.
